3 Easy steps to make 2019 your best year yet!
It’s that time of year again, the decorations are up and the Christmas carols are ‘ring ding dinging’ everywhere we go! With the new year just around the corner here are 3 easy steps to make 2019 your best year yet!
It has been a huge year for most of us, and a lot of people often feel tired and ready for a break at this time of year - whether it was from working hard, work stress, family hassles or heartbreak, or from having an amazing year of hitting goals, great holidays and career achievements!
Whatever came your way, I hope you get to enjoy the Christmas season and have a wonderful safe and relaxing time! Take the time to stop, relax, reflect and get ready to tackle 2019.
Reflect: Did 2018 go exactly how you wanted it? Do you want to make 2019 your most amazing year yet?
These three simple steps will make a huge difference to your financial results in 2019.
- Maximise your Mindset
- Manage Your Money
- Avoid Misinformation – (from both the media and the well-meaning misinformed)
To help you nail 2019 - I am excited to be launching my 5 WEEKS TO WEALTH program (this time last year I was announcing the launch of My BIG Money Goal - which revolutionised our debt reduction program) This is the relaunch of our Wealth Through Property education program
These are five inspirational and educational seminars I am personally presenting over 5 Mondays from the 15th of January. I will be repeating these through the year as well as over a weekend retreat.
The 5 Weeks to Wealth starts week 1 with Mindset Mastery. This covers everything from getting your head right, as well as helping you unpack many of the myths about money and property, misinformation from the media and from well-meaning family and friends as well as helping you set your financial goals for the future.
Week 2 follows through with Money Mastery, and so the education builds.
Property Mastery, Retirement Mastery and Implementation Mastery rounds out the 5 weeks. Lots more on the website 5weekstowealth.com.au
The birth of 2019 most certainly gives you the opportunity to review your current position. Are you moving forward, or are you standing still?
It is vital we make the most of the time while we have it on our side. So many times, I get to see people approaching 60 and finally starting to realise they haven’t got things in place for retirement – and find it is just too late.
As we reflect on 2018, it just confirms again that the only sure thing in this world is change. There has certainly been much of that in the financial industry this year and much more to come.
Change is a great teacher! I find it teaches 3 lessons if you let it.
- Resilience, (Strength, Determination)
- Focus, (Purpose, Clarity)
- Vision, (Direction, Plan)
However, no matter how hard change can be, at times it is a good thing. It can be difficult to see this at the time however, the light will appear eventually, just keep moving forward.
I have always found that the very worst things that happen to you in life always creates the opening to allow the very best thing to appear, and it does.
I visualise it as a pendulum – the further it swings onto the disruption and pain side the higher it swings to the happiness and gain side. Sometimes it is hard to imagine how something that is going so wrong could ever lead to something that is so good, but it does.
I have witnessed this time and time again.
If there is only a small swing to the pain side there will be a small counter swing to the gain side, a huge swing will counterbalance to a huge gain. This has often given me the strength to keep moving forward during hard times. I hope this helps you to do the same next time you need the strength and resilience to get through a difficult time.
2019 is going to be an amazing year, and it will go so fast!
Someone told me this week there were only about 8 weeks until Valentine’s day! WHAT!!
Don’t let time slip by, make sure you have set your goals and focus on what you want to Be, Do and Have next year and make sure you then take the steps needed to blow it out of the water!
Wishing you and your family and friends the very best of the Christmas spirit and the happiest and safest of New Year celebrations. Remember to do your bit for the economy by indulging, eat lots! Drink more than you should (but don’t drive!!) and laugh out loud till it hurts!
Enjoy your friends and family, don’t take them or yourselves too seriously and remember Christmas is only one day – even though we buy more food and drinks we normally do for a fortnight! (That was a reminder to me because I am hopeless at doing a simple Christmas although it is a big goal of mine to achieve it! Ho Ho Ho!!)
Merry Christmas – stay safe and enjoy!
