about fishing – Creating wealth

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime” Chinese Proverb.

Creating wealth is not an easy path; learning how to create new behaviours can be challenging, particularly when it comes to changing your spending habits and working out a plan for that long awaited retirement.

At Think Money we don’t want our clients to wait a lifetime or until retirement to enjoy themselves, we want them to enjoy their lifestyle now. Even though there are many wealthy people who continue to work; often what we are looking for is the freedom to make that choice. We teach people to do the small things now that they love to do, and create a structured plan for the big things. It works! “

Sustainable wealth that can feed you and your family for the rest of your life comes from learning and knowing how to catch small fish for yourself. Are you participating or hoping someone will catch fish for you?
Participation in which ever program you choose to do is the key. Many people find it quite easy to cast blame when things are not working out as they had hoped. This is quite a normal state of mind when going through transition. The difference between the people who succeed and the people who are left still wanting is the commitment to keep trying. If you are not achieving your goals on your own, then asking questions of a mentor and wealth coaches is a great thing to do – we encourage this at Think Money.

Surround yourself with great educators, people who will teach you to feed yourself and mentors that have what you want. Couple that with a can do attitude and you will soon welcome rather than fear retirement. It really is that simple!

There’s another well-known Chinese proverb from Lao Tzu that says “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”. It’s time to take that first step.

Happy fishing!
